West Ealing Health Centre cancelled

The plans for a new health centre in West Ealing have fallen victim to Government cuts. loom over the public sector.

Ealing NHS Trust had been moving forward with plans for a polyclinic at the site of the former Daniel's store in West Ealing, but now the Trust has slammed the breaks on in light of policy changes by the coalition Government.

A spokeswoman for Ealing NHS Trust told the Ealing Gazette: "For some time NHS Ealing has been planning to site the centre at the former Daniel store to improve access to primary health care and increase the range of services available in the community.

"The PCT remains committed to delivering improvements in primary care in the area, but in light of the policy changes recently announced by the new Government the PCT is looking again at this scheme to ensure it meets local needs, is supported by local GPs and the public and offers value for money."
