Ealing Council is monitoring works at a listed pub which have begin without planning permission.

The Greenwood pub, in Whitton Avenue West, Northolt, was listed shortly before it was sold last week. Now building works are taking place. The Ealing Gazette reports that council officers are monitoring the situation.

A council spokesman told the Gazette: "The building now has a new owner. The council has not received any recent planning applications for this property and we will be carrying out a site visit to check if any unauthorised building works have taken place. If they have we will take appropriate action."
