The South Kilburn Estate regeneration programme will begin witht he demolition of Marshall House.

Marshal House, a five storey block containing 36 flats, will be the first of a number of blocks in the area to be demolished and replaced with energy efficient, low rise homes. Development of the Marshall House site will start with the demolition of existing four and five-storey blocks of flats and construction of two new blocks, ranging from four floors to eleven floors in height and including 111 affordable homes.

The new housing blocks have 153 self-contained flats and maisonettes, three communal gardens, private garden areas to the front and rear of ground-floor properties and general landscaping of the site. There will also be children's play areas and green space. 

Councillor Paul Lorber, Leader of Brent Council, said: "This is the start of a very exciting new period in the regeneration of South Kilburn and will build on the work that has already taken place. Brent Council and South Kilburn Partnership (SKP) are committed to the future of South Kilburn and developing plans for the long term improvement and regeneration of the area."
