| Brent outlines "Vision for Alperton" | |
The council wants to see Alperton transformed into a place that people choose to live, work and invest. Opening up the canal "turning it not only into a place to travel to and from home, work and school but also a place to visit and enjoy". The Council's vision for how the area could be improved covers three main themes, Alperton's core, the Waterside neighbourhood, and the Industrial zone.
The Waterside residential neighbourhood would provide new homes for families, couples and individuals in an attractive waterside location. New community facilities would be introduced in public spaces along the canal.
The Masterplan itself will be developed over the coming months and statutory consultation on this document is due to take place in late summer 2010. For more information see www.brent.gov.uk/alpertonregeneration |
