West London ups and downs with HCA funding

West London has winners and losers in the HCA funding gap caused by the change of Government.

Of the four schemes awarded funding in KickStart wave 2, the 'restarting stalled housing' programme, three have kept their money. Crest Nicholson's 85 home Acton Bus Garage scheme, Home Group's 50 home Rayners Lane Phase E scheme, and Persimoon's 55 home Hillingdon House Farm have all survived the cut. Berkeley Homes 50 home Parkwest scheme is now listed as 'under review', and will not as it stands be funded.

In the local authority funded schemes, Ealing and Hillingdon have kept their funding while Brent and Hounslow have lost theirs. Ealing's 68 now council-owned homes will be delivered in Britannia CLose and Eastcote Lane in Northolt, and in High Lane, Hanwell. Hillingdon have funding for 98 homes across 18 sites around the Borough.

Brent were to have received over £2m for homes on the St Raphael's Estate, but now will not. The 20 home scheme at Elmwod Avenue in Hounslow suffered the same fate.

Nationally, the HCA have had to scale back this round from over £600m to around £400m.
