Steve Webb - Director

Steve WebbSteve worked until recently with United Business Media as Group Director of the Property Division, where he was responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities working closely with their portfolio of titles including Building and Property week. Following the successful launch of three events and two major acquisitions Steve went on to develop a portfolio of seven major events.
 
Steve launched five events; Sheds, Resi and Offices in the property and real estate sector, M&E in the building services sector, and Think – focussing on sustainable building and construction. He acquired and ran the award-winning Thames Gateway Forum and BSEC (Building Schools Exhibition & Conference). He has worked in close partnership with many leading organisations including BURA, the BPF, IAS and RIBA .

Previous roles include Director at Emap running Interbuild, the UK's largest construction exhibition, and five years at AGB Hulton, working in sales across three of their electrical and industrial titles before joining the launch team on Retail Week and the Retail Week conference. Other roles have included responsibility for two divisions within Highbury Nexus,  Horticulture and Commercial fishing, where he was responsible for weekly, fortnightly and monthly magazines and a series of trade events both in the UK and overseas.

Ross Sturley – Director

Ross SturleyRoss is an experienced provider of communication channels for B2B communities. He has spent twenty years serving sectors as diverse as construction, property, architecture, science, social work, hospital management and pharmaceuticals.
 
Ross has worked in magazines, websites, exhibitions, conferences and events in the UK and abroad. His experience includes Nature, the world's leading scientific magazine, where he launched many new specialist magazines and websites; launching the World Retail Congress, a 1,000 delegate international event which featured speakers from UNCTAD and the WTO; Interbuild, the UK's fourth largest trade show;  and World Architecture News, the world's busiest website for architects. He has worked in Europe, the US, Japan, India, Hong Kong and Australia.

Ross has been working in the construction and property sector for ten years, and is responsible for the West London presence at MIPIM, a collaboration between five local authorities and nine other private sector and not-for-profit organisations.

Ross is a regular contributor to industry magazine Construction News, and media and marketing magazines B2B Marketing and InPublishing. He is a Committee Member for the Chartered Institute of Marketing's Construction Industry Group (CIMCIG), and a judge for the Construction Marketing Awards (CMA). Ross is a Chartered Marketer, and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

Andrew Dowding

Andrew Dowding is apart of the Place West London TeamAndrew set up Meetings of Minds with Geoff Ross in 2004 and launched The (award winning) Thames Gateway Forum (which was subsequently sold to United Business Media in 2006). Prior to that he was a UK director for Reed Exhibitions before which he was a publishing director at Emap with responsibility for the Civil Engineering portfolio. Andrew received the PPA Business Publisher of the Year award in 2001. He remains chairman of The Thames Gateway Forum which continues to thrive under its new ownership.

Geoff Ross

Geoff Ross is apart of the Place West London TeamGeoff has extensive experience in business publishing and event marketing. Before setting up Meetings of Minds with Andy, he worked for 10 years at Emap on a wide range of sectors including fashion and construction. He has been responsible for developing numerous successful marketing campaigns. He lives in West London
