11.30 Raising Finance	Raising finance is a major challenge in the current economic climate. This workshop will help owner managers understand the principles behind raising finance from external sources and importantly, how to put these in practice through the implementation of a viable business plan. Those attending will be given an overview of the variety of funding options available to companies in a straightforward and impartial manner and help companies consider the pros and cons of each. They will give be given information about what lenders and investors are looking for and how owner managers can maximise their chances of successfully securing the funding they need.	Delivered by:
12.15 Winning London 2012 contracts	There's still a lot of business to be won on the 2012 games, do you know what's available, or how to compete to win? Is your busines "fit" to win public sector work? This workshop a practical seminar on how SMEs can win contracts generated by London 2012. The session will demystify London 2012 procurement and ‘walk’ businesses through the CompeteFor registration and contract bidding process.	Delivered by:
1.30 Networking Skills	This is an interactive workshop for business owner/managers who are new to business networking. Participants will develop an understanding of how best to plan and present themselves and their businesses to increase their chances of developing successful and beneficial relationships. The workshop gives guidance on optimising existing networks, preparing an ‘elevator pitch’ and tips on planning and managing networking events. It also provides ample opportunity to put the theory into practice with practical networking activities.	Delivered by:
2.15 Preparing for the recovery	Your business has survived very challenging economic times and now prospective customers are starting to take your sales calls. But what do you need to do now to ensure you can take advantage of the recovery as it starts? This practical workshop will provide you with ideas on management and strategic planning techniques, such as key performance indicators linked to your overall business objectives, which will help you maximise the opportunities.
